The Harm Reduction Worker is responsible for helping with the daily operations of Evergreen's Drop-In Services, including the provision of services in a non-judgmental manner, such as coordinating showers, laundry, food and beverage, and individual and group support. This role ensures that services are provided smoothly, in a safe environment, and are tracked appropriately.
As part of the essential functions of this role, the Harm Reduction Worker:
Qualified candidate will have an Associate degree in public health or related field, or two years of experience working with at-risk populations; ability to travel between office locations as needed; have and maintain a current and valid NYS driver's license, verified through the NYS LENS system; excellent verbal and written communication skills; awareness of and sensitivity to the issues and health disparities faced by underserved populations is essential.
